Harbor Packaging, Inc. (“Harbor Packaging,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of our customers and users.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you interact with Harbor Packaging, including through our websites, the My Harbor platform and mobile application, Beacon services, and related products and services (collectively, the “Services”).

My Harbor is a business-to-business service intended for Harbor Packaging customers and their authorized users.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with Harbor Packaging and our Services, we may collect the following categories of information:

Contact and Account Information

This may include your name, business email address, business telephone number, company, job-related information, account identifiers, and other information associated with your My Harbor account.

 

Company and Location Information

We may collect information about the company or organization you represent, its facilities and locations, shipping and billing information, and information necessary to establish and manage your organization's relationship with Harbor Packaging.

 

Inventory and Operational Information

When using My Harbor and Beacon, we may collect inventory records, stock levels, inventory activity, product information, inventory locations, replenishment information, Beacon interactions, and related operational information.

 

Procurement and Transaction Information

We may collect information regarding products, sourcing, quotations, purchase and order requests, orders, purchasing activity, shipment information, invoices, and other information related to your organization's commercial relationship with Harbor Packaging.

Payment card or bank account information, if applicable, may be processed through separate payment or financial systems and is not collected through My Harbor unless expressly indicated otherwise.

Information You Provide

We collect information that you or your organization choose to provide to us, including information submitted through forms, support requests, communications, documents, integrations, and other interactions with Harbor Packaging or My Harbor.

 

Device, Application, and Usage Information

When you use our websites or applications, we may automatically collect certain technical information, such as device and browser type, operating system, application version, IP address, authentication and security information, application activity, diagnostic information, performance information, and similar technical data.

For users who enable push notifications in My Harbor, we may store device and notification-related identifiers, including identifiers or hashed values used to associate a device with an authorized My Harbor user and deliver notifications. We use this information to register and manage notification delivery, maintain notification security, and send operational notifications associated with My Harbor.

 

Mobile Device Features

The My Harbor mobile application may access certain device capabilities with your permission, including the camera, NFC functionality, notifications, local device storage, and background processing or synchronization.

Camera access is used to scan Beacon QR codes and identify corresponding inventory. My Harbor does not currently use camera access to capture or upload photographs.

NFC functionality may be used to interact with supported Beacons. Push notification capabilities are used to deliver operational notifications related to My Harbor. Local storage and background capabilities may be used to support application functionality and synchronization, including in environments where network connectivity varies.

 

My Harbor does not currently request access to your device's precise or approximate geographic location.

 

We do not use camera, NFC, notification, or other device capabilities for third-party advertising.

2. How We Collect Information

We may collect information:

  • Directly from you or other authorized users;

  • From your employer, organization, or other authorized representatives;

  • Through your use of our websites, My Harbor, mobile applications, Beacon, and other Services;

  • Through purchases, quotations, orders, customer service, and other business interactions with Harbor Packaging;

  • From systems or services that your organization authorizes to integrate with Harbor Packaging or My Harbor;

  • From suppliers, service providers, and business partners when necessary to provide our products or Services; and

  • Automatically through application, device, server, security, diagnostic, and similar technologies.

 

3. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and support our products and Services;

  • Create, authenticate, secure, and administer user accounts;

  • Manage Customer organizations, users, facilities, and locations;

  • Provide inventory management and Beacon functionality;

  • Process and manage quotations, sourcing, procurement, orders, shipments, and related business activities;

  • Provide reporting, inventory visibility, and other operational functionality;

  • Synchronize application and inventory activity;

  • Send service, account, inventory, order, security, and other operational communications;

  • Provide customer service and technical support;

  • Maintain the security, reliability, availability, and performance of our systems;

  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, and unauthorized access;

  • Diagnose errors and improve the performance, functionality, usability, and reliability of our Services;

  • Maintain business records and administer our relationships with customers and suppliers;

  • Comply with legal, regulatory, accounting, and contractual obligations; and

  • Protect the rights, property, safety, and security of Harbor Packaging, our customers, our users, and others.

 

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell Customer data or personal information.

We may disclose information as reasonably necessary to operate our business and provide our Services, including to:

Service Providers

 

We may use service providers that assist with hosting, cloud infrastructure, authentication, communications, notifications, application performance, security, customer support, and other technology or business functions.

 

Suppliers and Business Partners

Information may be shared with suppliers, manufacturers, logistics providers, and other business partners when reasonably necessary to source products, fulfill orders, provide quotations, arrange shipments, provide Services, or otherwise support our business relationship with a Customer.

 

Customer Organizations

My Harbor is provided on behalf of business customers. Information associated with an authorized user's activity may be accessible to authorized administrators or other authorized users of that Customer organization as necessary to provide My Harbor's business functionality.

 

Integrations

When a Customer authorizes My Harbor or Harbor Packaging to interact with another system or service, information may be exchanged with that service as necessary to provide the requested integration.

 

Legal and Security Purposes

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; enforce agreements; investigate fraud or security issues; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Harbor Packaging, our customers, users, or others.

 

Business Transactions

Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable legal requirements.

We require service providers and other third parties that process personal information on our behalf to protect that information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable requirements.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our websites and web-based Services may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to authenticate users, maintain sessions, remember preferences, provide functionality, protect security, understand usage, and improve our Services.

The technologies used may vary depending on the Service, device, browser, and choices available to the user.

6. Diagnostics and Performance

We may collect technical, diagnostic, security, and performance information generated through the operation of our Services. We use this information to maintain the security and reliability of our systems, diagnose errors, provide support, and improve the performance and functionality of our Services.

My Harbor does not currently use third-party analytics technologies to analyze user behavior within the application.

If we introduce additional analytics or similar technologies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and applicable privacy disclosures as appropriate.

7. Advertising and Tracking

My Harbor is not supported by third-party advertising.

We do not use information collected through My Harbor to serve third-party targeted advertising.

 

Harbor Packaging's public websites may use analytics, marketing, or similar technologies that operate differently from My Harbor. Where applicable, those technologies may be subject to additional notices or privacy choices presented on those websites.

8. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

 

No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and should promptly notify Harbor Packaging if they believe their account or information has been accessed without authorization.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information and Customer information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our products and Services, maintain our business relationship with the Customer, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal, accounting, contractual, and regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information and the purpose for which it is maintained.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary for these purposes, we may delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with our policies and applicable law.

 

Authorized users or Customers may request deletion of applicable personal information by contacting Harbor Packaging using the information provided below. Certain information may be retained when necessary to comply with legal obligations, maintain legitimate business records, protect security, resolve disputes, or establish or defend legal claims.

10. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you reside and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information.

You may manage certain device permissions, including camera access and notifications, through your device settings.

 

To submit a privacy request, request deletion of applicable personal information, withdraw consent where applicable, or ask a question regarding our privacy practices, contact us using the information in the Contact Us section below.

 

We may need to verify your identity or authority before completing certain requests. Because My Harbor accounts are associated with business customers, some account-related requests may also require coordination with the Customer organization responsible for the account.

11. My Harbor Accounts

My Harbor accounts are created for authorized users of Harbor Packaging customers and are not offered through public self-service registration.

Access to My Harbor may be managed by Harbor Packaging and authorized administrators of the Customer organization.

 

If your relationship as a Customer ends or you no longer require access to My Harbor, you or an authorized representative of your organization may contact Harbor Packaging regarding account access or applicable personal information.

12. Children's Privacy

Harbor Packaging's business Services and My Harbor are intended for business users and are not directed to children.

We do not knowingly use My Harbor to solicit personal information from children.

13. Third-Party Services and Links

Our Services may contain links to or integrate with websites, applications, platforms, and services operated by third parties.

Those third parties may have their own privacy policies and practices. When you interact directly with a third-party service, its handling of information may be governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

 

Where a third-party provider processes personal information on our behalf, we require appropriate protections consistent with applicable requirements.

14. International Processing

Harbor Packaging and its service providers may process or store information in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate.

When required by applicable law, we take appropriate measures relating to transfers of personal information between jurisdictions.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, business practices, technology, or legal requirements.

When we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. We will provide additional notice of material changes when required by applicable law.
